Altar Making Workshop

In this workshop, we will begin with a guided meditation to connect with the ancestors for inspiration and guidance. Then we will discuss the reasons and methods for creating an ancestor altar. After discussion, we will begin building our altars using shoeboxes or wooden boxes of varying sizes. Most materials will be provided, but we recommend bringing any photos or small mementos representing loved ones who you might want to dedicate your altar for.

You may take your altar home with you, or you may display it here at our Altar Show (opening reception October 12th, runs until November 8th).

Box of Magick Book Club

Join us for the 1st in our monthly magickal book club series. This month we will explore the wonderful grimoire "Box of Magick" by Jamie Della. This book is a call to adventure, a bold invitation to activate the deepest part of yourself. This book invites us to practice with two magickal guides, Jamie Della and her Wiccan Elder High Priestess and mentor Connie DeMasters. 15 years after Connie's passing, Jamie received a literal box of Magick on her doorstep, 23 pounds of Connie's rituals, hymns, spells, astrology and more. Through this unexpected gift, both Connie and Jamie show us how to unlock the Magick within. This book helps us to recognize the magickal lessons and signs that exist all around us. This book shares rituals that help is face and integrate the shadow, develop abiding self-love, and stand with a sword of personal truth held ready. Through storytelling and parables, we learn discernment as we connect magickal insights with our own experiences.

Soul of Place Workshop

Soul of Place Workshop

Join Jamie Della at The Cauldron in Grass Valley for an exciting Soul of Place workshop on September 4, from 6-7:30pm.

Weaving Terrapsychology, the study of the soul of place, into your magickal practices works like an inner compass to direct your energy to where you are rooted. Tapping into the memories of the land builds a portal to reach the fourth dimension of time and space, which serves as a path to master a strong alignment with universal energy that you can channel in your personal and Magickal life.

Most Magick makers believe in animism, a consciousness in everything alive, whether it’s animals, herbs, weather systems, human handiwork, and even words and stories. This consciousness is what we communicate with our spellwork, rituals and ceremonies. Terrapsychology builds upon animism by concentrating on the stories that affect the soul of the land. The study of the soul workings of land spirits intermingling with our own soul’s journey, teaches us, in a visceral way, about the inner workings of our thoughts, feelings, and Magickal potential.

In this Soul of Place Workshop, you will

·       learn the illimitable possibilities of listening to déjà vu, DNA memories, as well as the human and earth stories experienced and witnessed by land spirits.

·       discover ways to morph your sight to perceive new possibilities on the horizon, both physically and metaphysically.

·       unlock how stories help us make sense of our world, connect on an emotional level, and sustain focus for reading, communicating with, and bending the unseen forces.

Capricorn Full Moon Circle on July 21st 6:30-8:30

The sky lights up with a Capricorn full moon on Sunday, July 21, potentially bringing either anxiety or welcome career news. Full moons are primal wildcards. We just experienced a Capricorn Full Moon back in June, so think back to how that lunation affected you. Leo season begins this month, and with the sun in the feline sign, you'll have to continue to balance your desire to be both adorned and get plenty of rest. And, finally, Chiron, the wounded healer, begins its retrograde, bringing deep healing to an area of your life.

We will explore these themes in a group ritual setting with writing prompts, group shares, and meaningful ritual.

ALL are welcome.

New Moon Circle in Cancer

New Moon Circle in Cancer

We gather under the new moon in Cancer, a time for emotions to flow freely. New moons open a door to you that had been previously locked, encouraging you to venture forth into new territory and this month we are encouraged to live it up, do all the things, and do so while opening our hearts to feel all the feelings.

New moons also offer new beginnings and a chance to look at things from a different perspective, depending on where they fall in the sky. Cancer is a Cardinal Water sign, which means that we are encouraged to assess our emotional stability and security, as well as the foundation our lives stand upon.

You are invited into The Cauldron @ Loot & Lore to initiate your own new emotional journeys, to reflect on where we have been, and meditate on how our ancestors led us to where we now stand. Together we will explore how to better “seize the day” and create actions that will ultimately culminate within the coming year ahead.

Bring a journal, a pen, and your most authentic self. We are happy to have you here with us in this sacred space.
